Interaction Designer

Overview

We are seeking an Interaction Designer for a 3-6 month contract focused on a public sector project. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop user-centered journey maps and prototypes, ensuring the design meets the needs of government stakeholders. The successful candidate will operate in a fully remote capacity and is expected to begin on 18th October 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Developers, and Business Analysts to define project requirements.
  • Conduct user research and translate findings into actionable design elements.
  • Create journey maps and prototypes using various design tools and methodologies.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure design objectives are met.
  • Participate in agile development processes to enhance product features based on user feedback.
  • Iterate designs based on testing outcomes and stakeholder input.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Interaction Design, particularly within government projects.
  • Experience working in multi-functional agile teams.
  • Proficiency in design tools and methodologies for creating prototypes and journey maps.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and understand user requirements.
