Overview
We are seeking an experienced Interaction/Web Designer for a 3-5 month contract role focused on a public sector intranet redesign project. The selected candidate will collaborate with agile teams, engaging closely with product managers, developers, and business analysts to gather requirements and apply user research to create effective design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multi-functional agile teams to gather and understand design requirements.
- Create journey maps and prototypes using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure design alignment and gather feedback.
- Utilize the Gov.uk design system to inform design strategies.
- Conduct user research to inform design decisions and enhancements.
- Work remotely while maintaining clear communication with team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a web and interaction designer, specifically in the public sector.
- Familiarity with the Gov.uk design system.
- Experience working within agile teams in a government setting.
- Strong competency in creating user journey maps and prototypes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Wordpress is a plus.
