Overview
This interim role for a FP&A Transformation Lead is an opportunity to drive significant improvements in financial planning and analysis for a prominent consumer brand. The contractor will work collaboratively with finance and operational stakeholders, focusing on reviewing and redesigning financial planning processes while implementing innovative solutions such as AI and enhanced data visualization tools. This position emphasizes leadership in a crucial transformational project with high impact across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead a detailed discovery exercise across the existing financial planning and analysis process.
- Engage finance and operational stakeholders to understand their needs and identify inefficiencies.
- Redesign planning and reporting processes across all divisions.
- Explore AI possibilities to enhance FP&A and lead its adoption within the team.
- Rebuild or simplify long-standing Excel models for better efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the use of Power BI and the existing data warehouse.
- Develop pragmatic, sustainable processes for the existing team to own.
- Support implementation of improvements, ensuring successful embedding of new approaches.
Requirements
- Proven experience in FP&A transformation within a complex organizational structure.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning processes and best practices.
- Experience engaging with finance and operational stakeholders to understand their requirements.
- Ability to redesign and simplify financial models and reporting processes.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in FP&A.
- Proficient in using Power BI and data warehouse concepts.
- Demonstrated capability to implement sustainable change and process improvements.
- Experience in managing transformation projects is preferred.
