Overview
The consultancy is seeking a Senior iOS Mobile Engineer to lead the development of a high-quality native iOS application for their client in the gambling and iGaming sector. This role involves collaborating with engineering, design, and product teams in a fully remote environment, contributing to both technical direction and hands-on development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence architecture, development standards, and delivery practices while working on secure, scalable, and accessible mobile experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain robust native iOS applications using Swift, applying sound engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Work with engineering, design and product colleagues to create seamless experiences that meet user and business needs.
- Drive technical and architectural decisions to support applications that are scalable, secure, maintainable and reliable.
- Integrate REST APIs and backend services, implementing effective authentication and secure data handling.
- Identify and address performance, reliability and accessibility improvements, ensuring consistent product performance for its users.
- Develop and maintain automated tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to efficient build, release and deployment processes.
- Take responsibility for the quality and timely delivery of work, communicating progress, risks and technical decisions clearly to a distributed team.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in building and delivering native iOS applications.
- Excellent Swift development skills and practical experience with SwiftUI and/or UIKit.
- Solid understanding of iOS architecture, application lifecycle, and mobile development best practices.
- Experience with automated testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Proficient in integrating REST APIs and backend services securely.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry or with AI-native/software consultancy client solutions.
- Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines, App Store deployment, and release management is beneficial.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools, security standards, or compliance requirements is a plus.
