Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a technology consultancy focused on a software engineering project within a regulated industry. In this predominantly remote role, you will collaborate with a talented engineering team to design and develop applications that meet high standards of security and functionality. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies including Python, FastAPI, React, and AI-assisted tools, contributing to all aspects of the application stack.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Build and integrate REST APIs, ensuring proper authentication and authorization.
- Develop and maintain PostgreSQL databases, including schemas and migrations.
- Contribute to frontend development using React and TypeScript.
- Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality.
- Utilize GitHub workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and change control processes.
- Employ Claude Code for day-to-day development and validate AI-generated code.
- Maintain secure coding standards and address any security vulnerabilities identified.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in Python development.
- Proficiency with FastAPI, Pydantic, and Alembic.
- Experience with PostgreSQL data modeling and database migrations.
- Knowledge of React and TypeScript for frontend development.
- Familiarity with authentication technologies such as SSO, JWT, and RBAC.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like pytest and JavaScript testing.
- Familiarity with version control using GitHub, including pull requests and code reviews.
- Hands-on experience with Claude Code, including AI-powered solution development.
