Overview
The IT Project Manager will play a vital role in overseeing the development and integration of a new travel booking platform for a prominent travel organization. This position involves coordinating various facets of the project, including integration with internal systems and collaboration with suppliers and external partners to ensure a seamless booking experience. The role is offered as a 7-month contract with potential for extension, allowing for a dynamic and impactful contribution to the organization's digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and integration of a new travel booking information system.
- Manage the integration of the platform with the existing website and customer booking journey.
- Coordinate connectivity with suppliers, online tour operators, and aggregators.
- Oversee integration of the packaging engine and distribution platform.
- Ensure reliable data flows across different systems and platforms.
- Manage project roadmap, milestones, risks, and delivery quality.
- Coordinate integration, UAT testing, defect resolution, and go-live processes.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external technology providers.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering IT projects related to booking, e-commerce, or distribution platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with system integration, APIs, and web platforms.
- Experience in integrating platforms with suppliers and third-party systems.
- Ability to manage complex data flows and integrations across multiple systems.
- Familiarity with booking engines, packaging engines, or travel distribution platforms.
- Experience with payment, billing, invoicing, or accounting system integrations.
- Proficient in coordinating technical teams, business stakeholders, and external technology providers.
- Experience with integrations through testing, UAT, and go-live.
