Lead Infrastructure Architect

Overview

The Lead Infrastructure Architect will play a pivotal role in a major infrastructure transformation programme for a key enterprise client, focusing on the design and delivery of a modern HPC and AI platform. Collaborating closely with stakeholders and engineering teams, the contractor will define the target architecture necessary to support advanced AI workloads, while establishing standards and best practices for implementation and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and technical direction of a large-scale infrastructure transformation programme.
  • Define and deliver the target-state architecture across HPC, AI, private cloud, storage, and networking.
  • Drive the adoption of automation and orchestration to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership across design, implementation, and transition phases.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, and programme leadership to ensure successful delivery.
  • Establish architecture standards, governance, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading enterprise infrastructure transformation programmes.
  • Strong architecture experience across HPC and AI infrastructure.
  • Experience designing and delivering private cloud platforms.
  • Good understanding of NVIDIA GPU-based environments for AI and HPC workloads.
  • Experience driving infrastructure automation and orchestration initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Consultancy or Professional Services experience would be highly advantageous.
