Overview
The Lead QA Automation Engineer will oversee quality assurance across a diverse portfolio of digital products and integrations. This hands-on role necessitates a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise in automation, and team leadership, ensuring the delivery of secure and compliant solutions while fostering modern QA practices and continuous improvement within the technology function.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the QA and testing strategy across internal and third-party teams.
- Establish and maintain testing standards for various testing types.
- Lead the implementation and enhancement of automated testing practices.
- Build, mentor, and enhance the QA capability within engineering teams.
- Ensure a 'shift-left' approach to quality is adopted throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Review and optimize test coverage, automation frameworks, and defect management processes.
- Communicate quality metrics and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Promote continuous improvement in automation and QA practices.
Requirements
- Significant experience in leading QA and Testing functions in complex technology environments.
- Proven ability to develop enterprise-level test strategies and quality frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and Postman.
- Experience with CRM platforms, integrations, and large-scale applications.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience managing quality with third-party suppliers and delivery partners.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent testing qualification.
