Overview
We are seeking a Lead Test Engineer specializing in Azure Databricks to spearhead the testing strategy for a significant project within the UK public sector. The successful candidate will work with an IT consultancy to develop automated testing frameworks and ensure quality integration into CI/CD pipelines, while promoting testing best practices across the engineering team. This is a fully remote role tailored for UK-based professionals who can begin immediately or within two weeks.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the test strategy for the Azure data platform.
- Build scalable automated testing frameworks for Azure Databricks.
- Integrate quality assurance into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive best testing practices across the engineering team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance testing processes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testing staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lead Test Engineer with a focus on Azure Databricks.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Experience embedding quality in CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
- Previously worked on projects within the UK public sector.
- Ability to obtain SC Clearance and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Immediate availability or within a two-week notice period.
