Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing digital processes and providing technical support to ensure high-quality manufacturing solutions. This role requires taking ownership of multi-tasking mill-turn machining processes, from concept through production release, while maintaining technical discipline within the machining function. The engineer will work closely with operators to program components and develop production plans, ensuring that all manufacturing solutions meet rigorous standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop digital processes for manufacturing solutions.
  • Provide on-shift technical support to ensure stable production.
  • Program components and write production plans.
  • Prove out complex programs in collaboration with operators.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO code for all programs.
  • Uphold technical discipline within the machining function.
  • Take ownership of transitioning processes from concept to stable production.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with SolidCAM; other CAM packages may be considered.
  • Proficient in Vericut and familiar with Fanuc and Mazatrol systems.
  • Experience with Mazak Integrex and Variaxis machines.
  • Ability to program older machines including 2-axis lathes and horizontals.
  • Understanding of 3+2 and 5-axis machining processes.
  • Flexibility to work on different shifts as required.
  • Knowledge of ISO code programming standards.
