Overview
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be engaged in contract work for an FMCG machinery manufacturing company, focusing on the design and development of special purpose machinery. The role requires expertise in SolidWorks and involves collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success as well as the completion of detailed design documentation.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality 3D and 2D designs using SolidWorks.
- Develop detailed project plans and provide regular progress updates.
- Ensure seamless communication with all stakeholders involved in the project.
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to maintain smooth project flow.
- Oversee project completion, including commissioning, testing, and documentation handover to the client.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical design engineering with a focus on special purpose machinery.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D and 2D design.
- Experience working within an FMCG setting.
