Overview
In this fully remote role as a Mobile App Developer, you will take the lead on developing a client-facing digital application that integrates with backend systems powered by artificial intelligence. Collaborating closely with backend developers and stakeholders, you will ensure the mobile application provides a seamless, secure user experience while adhering to established technical architectures. This position involves end-to-end responsibility for the mobile product lifecycle, from conception through release and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and improve the mobile application for iOS and/or Android platforms.
- Contribute to the selection and implementation of a suitable native or cross-platform development approach.
- Translate product requirements, user journeys, and design materials into responsive, accessible interfaces.
- Integrate the application with backend APIs, managing structured JSON data.
- Implement authentication, session handling, user access behavior, and secure local storage.
- Test supported devices and operating system versions, investigating defects to improve performance, usability, and security.
- Manage builds, signing, and release preparation, including app store submissions.
- Maintain useful technical documentation and support handover post-release.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience delivering mobile applications for real users.
- Strong capability in at least one relevant technology, such as React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin.
- Practical experience integrating REST APIs and working with structured JSON data.
- Sound understanding of mobile authentication, permissions, secure storage, and application lifecycle behavior.
- Experience with version control and repeatable build and release processes.
- Clear communication skills and sound technical judgment.
- Comfortable building interfaces for various screen sizes and device capabilities.
- Experience with publishing applications and managing app store releases is advantageous.
