Overview
We are seeking a Network Architect with a strong focus on LAN and WAN technologies to join our team for a six-month remote contract position. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams, providing expertise in network and security architecture while supporting multiple countries. The role requires extensive experience in IT and documentation, as well as a proven track record in delivering IT solutions effectively.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement network architecture for LAN and WAN environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network operations.
- Conduct documentation of network designs and architectural specifications.
- Evaluate and integrate security measures for network integrity and safety.
- Support the deployment of SD-WAN and WAN optimization technologies.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee network equipment procurement.
- Perform assessments and upgrades to cloud and hybrid cloud solutions.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL and governance best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, particularly in multinational environments.
- Proven expertise in LAN/WAN technologies including Cisco Meraki and Riverbed.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols and tools such as Checkpoint and F5.
- Experience with cloud services including GCP, AWS, and Azure.
- Familiar with remote access technologies like Azure AVD and Microsoft AOVPN.
- Relevant network and security certifications (Cisco, Checkpoint, Riverbed, F5) are preferred.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
