Overview
We are seeking a Network Security Engineer with active SC Security Clearance for a 6-month contract, primarily working remotely with potential travel to UK customer sites. The role involves technical ownership and support of customer security infrastructure, working closely with a global IT consultancy and leading telecommunications clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical ownership of customer security infrastructure estate and lifecycle management.
- Act as a technical point of reference and escalation for security-related changes and projects.
- Design customer networks, supporting high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD).
- Offer technical support for firewall rule changes and vendor support for security incidents.
- Manage change effectively for hardware and software, including customer inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with established security processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Must hold active SC Security Clearance.
- Extensive hands-on experience with F5, Zscaler, and Palo Alto technologies.
- Proficient in firewall management and related technologies including Checkpoint, Juniper, and Cisco Network Solutions.
- Experience with change management processes in network security.
- Familiarity with VPN technologies (ipsec, SSL VPN, DMVPN) and WAN routing protocols.
- Telecoms industry sector experience is preferred.
