Overview
In this role, the Security Engineer will serve as the Senior Technical Authority for security-related projects, primarily working remotely with occasional travel required for customer site visits. The engineer will collaborate closely with vendor support for incident management and will be responsible for the design and modification of security infrastructure, including firewall rule bases. The focus of this position is to provide technical support and manage change processes related to both physical and remote security configurations.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Senior Technical point of reference for all security-related projects.
- Design and support customer network architectures, including High Level and Low Level designs.
- Manage and modify firewall rule bases to ensure security compliance.
- Provide technical support for incidents related to the security infrastructure.
- Collaborate with vendor support for incident resolution and troubleshooting.
- Oversee customer inventory management for security hardware and software.
- Implement change management processes for security infrastructure adjustments.
Requirements
- Experience with F5, Zscaler, and Palo Alto technologies.
- Recent hands-on experience with security infrastructure technologies.
- Knowledge of VPN technologies including IPsec, SSL VPN, and DMVPN.
- Familiarity with routing protocols and Wide Area Network technologies.
- Understanding of Cisco networking solutions and related technologies.
- Experience with Change Management processes in a security context.
- Must hold BPSS clearance.
