Overview
The Contract Network Security Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing network security for the organization. Working collaboratively with various teams, the engineer will implement security measures and troubleshoot network security issues, leveraging their expertise in key technologies and protocols to ensure a secure and efficient network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls including Cisco and Palo Alto.
- Implement and monitor intrusion detection and prevention systems.
- Utilize SIEM tools for security incident response and analysis.
- Apply network security fundamentals to design and secure network architectures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address security needs and improve security posture.
- Conduct problem-solving and analytical tasks related to network security issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in network security with a strong understanding of encryption technologies.
- Working knowledge of Zscaler Private Access & Internet Access.
- Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems and SIEM tools.
- Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional/Expert in Security or equivalent.
- Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network security devices.
- Strong analytical thinking and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
