Cyber Security Analyst

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join a prominent NHS organization focused on a major digital transformation project. In this remote position, you will play a crucial role in enhancing cyber resilience and security for critical healthcare systems. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, safeguarding sensitive health information and supporting uninterrupted healthcare services.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts and respond promptly to potential threats or incidents.
  • Investigate cyber security alerts to identify root causes and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Analyze and remediate threats using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and other security tools.
  • Manage SIEM, EDR, and NDR alert activity to ensure timely detection and response.
  • Support cyber incident response processes, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Assist in security investigations, compiling reports, and documenting findings for compliance purposes.
  • Collaborate with technical and security teams to develop strategies that enhance cyber resilience.
  • Support information security and compliance initiatives aligned with NHS standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in cyber security analysis, preferably within NHS or similar healthcare settings.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE).
  • Strong background in Security Operations Centers (SOC) and security monitoring.
  • Knowledge of SIEM tools and incident response procedures.
  • Experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Network Detection and Response (NDR).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security Suite.
  • Understanding of cyber security frameworks and best practices.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as AZ-500, SSCP, or Microsoft Security certifications are desirable.
