Network Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with expertise in SONiC and advanced networking technologies to join a dynamic team. This role involves configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting network environments based on SONiC, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting. The Network Engineer will contribute to the deployment and optimization of enterprise-grade network infrastructures while encouraging a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and support SONiC-based networking environments for optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure components.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot BGP routing protocols for scalable network architectures.
  • Support and implement Software VPN solutions for secure remote connectivity.
  • Diagnose network issues swiftly to maintain service continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with SONiC (preferably Celestica SONiC or other distributions).
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking principles.
  • Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting BGP.
  • Experience with Software VPN implementations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Linux networking environments is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of EVPN/VXLAN and white-box switching platforms is desirable.
