Planning Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on managing project schedules for offshore wind projects during tender phases. This role offers the opportunity to apply strong planning skills and energy sector expertise in a flexible hybrid working environment. Collaborating with project participants, the Planning Engineer will ensure adherence to project timelines and contribute to critical energy initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Project Schedule in accordance with contractual requirements and internal standards.
  • Implement the Planning and Progress Control System for effective project management.
  • Analyze and address any deviations from the planned schedule promptly.
  • Drive schedule awareness among all project participants to ensure alignment.
  • Prepare and manage 90-day look-ahead, weekly, and monthly schedules.
  • Support the preparation of Project Status Reports to communicate progress.
  • Assist during contract amendments and claims through time impact analysis.
  • Participate in risk management and schedule risk analysis activities.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in planning for offshore oil & gas projects, preferably in offshore wind.
  • HNC, HND, or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven expertise in tendering project phases, T&I, and potentially EPCI projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is essential.
  • Familiarity with risk analysis tools and practices is an advantage.
  • Experience with large-scale offshore wind projects is desirable.
