Overview
The Platform Architect will play a crucial role in delivering impactful architectural solutions for a significant project involving a new client. Collaborating closely with various teams, the selected contractor will define and own the architecture for platforms within the project's scope, ensuring alignment with the broader technological framework and successful handover to client support teams upon project completion.
Responsibilities
- Define the target architecture for the platforms in alignment with the organization's enterprise landscape.
- Own the solution architecture process from options appraisal to detailed design for each platform.
- Set integration, data, and security patterns for the programme.
- Assure designs provided by delivery teams and suppliers with clear findings and recommendations.
- Present architecture decisions, risks, and trade-offs to governance and design authorities.
- Plan the transition from the current to target state, including dependencies and migration strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teams to ensure effective handover to client architecture and support teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Solution or Enterprise Architect in large, multi-supplier programmes.
- Expertise in platform and integration architecture across Salesforce, SaaS, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
- Experience working with design authorities and programme governance.
- Familiarity with regulated or critical infrastructure environments is desirable.
