Overview
The Platform Engineer will support a 3-month Compliance Assurance Framework (CAF) program, primarily focusing on ensuring adherence to the Cyber Assessment Framework within an AWS environment. This role requires collaboration with teams to implement and document security controls and processes effectively. The contractor will bring their expertise in cloud engineering to enhance compliance and security posture.
Responsibilities
- Support the CAF compliance program by implementing required security measures.
- Produce clear compliance documentation and evidence for assessments.
- Utilize AWS and GCP services for platform engineering tasks.
- Manage IAM, MFA, and cloud security controls effectively.
- Implement centralized logging and alerting systems.
- Conduct backup and recovery processes to maintain system integrity.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving within cloud environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience with the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).
- Strong platform engineering experience in AWS, with GCP knowledge as a bonus.
- Hands-on expertise in IAM, MFA, and cloud security controls.
- Experience with CloudTrail, VPC Flow Logs, and EKS/Kubernetes logging.
- Ability to produce compliance documentation and evidence clearly.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Immediate availability preferred.
