Overview
We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer for a hands-on technical role on an initial 6-month contract. The successful candidate will join a business analyst team, where they will take ownership of complex reporting challenges and provide expert guidance in enhancing the team's reporting capabilities. This fully remote position will involve collaboration with IT and the existing analyst team, focusing on sophisticated Power BI solutions and integration with enterprise data architecture.
Responsibilities
- Develop complex Power BI solutions for enterprise data sources.
- Collaborate with the business analyst team to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Provide expert guidance in addressing complex technical challenges.
- Shape the integration between Power BI and the evolving data architecture.
- Diagnose and resolve Power BI performance issues.
- Optimize data models, queries, and DAX for performance improvement.
- Connect Power BI to multiple enterprise data sources and develop data connectors.
- Support the migration from QlikView to Power BI.
Requirements
- Senior/expert-level experience in Power BI development.
- Advanced proficiency in DAX for complex measures and calculations.
- Strong experience in designing and optimizing Power BI data models.
- Proven ability to optimize Power BI performance issues.
- Experience connecting to enterprise data sources, including Oracle EBS and Salesforce.
- Familiarity with Databricks and modern data platforms.
- Understanding of reporting requirements in Sales and Finance.
- Experience developing analytics solutions related to sales incentives and performance.
