Overview
The Power BI Developer will play a key role in a major transformation program by designing and delivering reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Fabric, specifically tailored for the finance function. This contract role requires close collaboration with finance stakeholders to translate complex financial requirements into impactful data insights and reports. The position is hybrid, requiring three days a week onsite at the client's office in London.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support the finance transformation programme.
- Utilise Microsoft Fabric to develop and support data engineering, integration, and reporting solutions.
- Develop financial reporting solutions using data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Work closely with finance stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate these into effective BI solutions.
- Develop financial measures, calculations, KPIs, and reporting logic.
- Build reporting around financial dimensions, general ledger information, and other relevant finance data.
- Ensure financial reports provide accurate, meaningful, and actionable insights.
- Support the validation and reconciliation of financial data and reporting outputs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Previous hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
- Demonstrable experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards specifically for finance teams.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements and financial data structures.
- Experience developing financial measures, calculations, KPIs, and business logic within Power BI.
- Understanding of financial dimensions, general ledger data, and management reporting.
- Experience working with data pipelines, data integration, and data transformation within Microsoft Fabric.
