Overview
We are looking for a Power BI Developer to transform approved data into reliable Power BI reports and Copilot Studio agents that address routine queries. The contractor will collaborate closely with the client's data and analytics team, data owners, and the Microsoft 365 platform team. This hands-on role requires building, testing, documenting, and handing over functional solutions that include reporting and agent deployment with proper security and data lineage documentation.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain Power BI reports, semantic models and dataflows against agreed requirements.
- Write and tune DAX measures and Power Query transformations; apply row-level security where the data demands it.
- Work with data owners to define measures, resolve data-quality issues and record lineage from source to report.
- Manage workspaces, deployment pipelines and refresh schedules in line with the client's release process.
Requirements
- Active SC clearance, currently held and not lapsed or pending.
- At least three years of experience building Power BI solutions in production, including semantic modelling, DAX, Power Query, and row-level security.
- Hands-on experience with Copilot Studio, having built at least one production agent based on enterprise data.
- Strong SQL skills and the ability to demonstrate sound data-modelling judgment.
- Experience working in public sector, defence, or other regulated environments.
- Ability to explain technical choices to non-technical stakeholders and produce clear documentation.
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
