Principal Identity And Access Management Consultant

Overview

The Principal Identity and Access Management Consultant will lead access governance initiatives for a UK regulated investment firm, collaborating closely with the client while being supported by an Intelance engagement partner. This role involves managing daily client relationships, transforming access designs into actionable plans, and guiding the implementation of governance tools. The consultant will have significant responsibility for ensuring secure and compliant management of client information across various platforms and will engage with senior stakeholders to align on access rules.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day client relationship, including steering committee interactions and weekly updates.
  • Transform agreed access designs into practical implementation plans with system owners.
  • Maintain and update the single record of client information access.
  • Redesign processes for granting, changing, and revoking access across multiple platforms.
  • Conduct sessions with senior business owners to validate access rules and exceptions.
  • Advise on the selection of an identity governance tool if the client proceeds with implementation.
  • Create clear and concise documentation for non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years in identity and access management, with at least 5 years in a client-facing or program leadership role.
  • Experience in access governance or role-based access in financial services, preferably in asset management or private markets.
  • Hands-on proficiency with at least one identity governance tool, such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Omada, or Microsoft Entra ID Governance.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft 365, SharePoint permissions, and Entra ID.
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior executives, including lawyers and technology heads.
  • Proficient in writing clear, jargon-free documentation.
  • Right to work in the UK and capable of contracting through a limited company.
  • Desirable: CISA, CISSP, or equivalent certification.
