Overview
We are seeking a Product Engineer to join our early-stage HealthTech startup, where you will play a pivotal role in building our AI-powered healthcare platform. This full-stack position emphasizes Python and requires collaboration with the CTO, engineering, product, design, and clinical teams to develop high-quality consumer features while staying responsive to user feedback. You will have the opportunity to shape product ideas and make substantial contributions to both front-end and back-end development.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship high-quality consumer features end-to-end, from early idea through production and iteration.
- Work primarily in Python while moving across the stack as needed.
- Build APIs, integrations, and async data-processing pipelines that enhance personalized product experiences.
- Contribute to React and React Native applications in collaboration with design teams.
- Shape product ideas directly with the CTO and founders while making pragmatic technical decisions.
- Utilize AI development tools to ensure quality and correctness in deliverables.
- Maintain a well-tested and well-observed codebase that is strongly typed.
- Take ownership beyond immediate tasks, addressing infrastructure, databases, CI/CD, and mobile as necessary.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Excellent Python engineering skills with strong fundamentals.
- Experience in building asynchronous systems or complex data-processing workflows.
- Proven record of shipping real consumer-facing products.
- Demonstrated experience in developing new products or major features from scratch.
- Strong product judgment with a focus on outcomes rather than mere implementation.
- Comfortable with modern full-stack environments and technologies.
- Familiarity with React or similar modern frontend frameworks.
