Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Engineer to join a technology-driven team focused on building sophisticated billing, pricing, and commercial platforms for the energy and trading sectors. In this backend-leaning role, you will work closely with a collaborative team to design and implement high-volume transactional systems, ensuring accuracy and reliability in complex financial calculations and workflows. Responsibilities
- Design and own backend services using Python.
- Build scalable functionalities for billing and pricing platforms.
- Develop APIs and workflows to handle high volumes of transactional data.
- Model complex business rules and perform financial calculations.
- Collaborate with product teams to design solutions from first principles.
- Contribute across the tech stack where necessary, including TypeScript.

Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
- Strong production-grade Python skills.
- Experience in building billing, settlement, pricing, or payments platforms.
- Familiarity with the energy sector, utilities, or financial trading is highly desirable.
