Overview
We are seeking a Programme Delivery Manager on a contract basis to lead a complex, multi-team programme in the healthcare software sector. The successful candidate will engage with various stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and third-party suppliers, to ensure a seamless path to project launch. This role requires a strong ability to resolve dependencies and manage risks while maintaining accountability for delivery outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own the integrated delivery plan and critical path to launch.
- Facilitate daily cross-team stand-ups across client, engineering, QA, and suppliers.
- Drive resolution of blockers and dependencies.
- Manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) with clear ownership and deadlines.
- Ensure backlog readiness and acceptance criteria are established with Product and Engineering teams.
- Provide concise stakeholder updates on progress, risks, and decisions.
- Lead delivery efforts with a focus on outcomes rather than mere reporting.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing at-risk programmes and bringing them under control.
- Proven background as a Senior Delivery Manager or Programme Delivery Manager in software and digital delivery.
- Experience delivering projects across multiple teams and suppliers.
- Proficiency in dependency management, RAID, and critical-path oversight.
- Strong senior stakeholder management skills with credibility to engage suppliers and engineers.
- Understanding of how Product, Engineering, and QA collaborate in delivery.
- Experience with consultancy or agency environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with SaaS platform delivery, particularly involving integration, and tools such as OutSystems and Workato.
