Project Manager

Overview

The Contract Project Manager will lead the coordination and delivery of projects within a change programme for a Financial Services organization. Working mainly remote with occasional travel to offices in Bristol or Maidenhead, the contractor will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to ensure project alignment with the business plan and adherence to change management protocols, thereby driving successful outcomes within the established timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall coordination, implementation, execution, control, and transition of assigned projects.
  • Develop and manage project plans, tracking quality and benefits realization.
  • Define and manage project budgets, including change control and funding requests.
  • Support the definition of project scope and objectives, engaging stakeholders and securing approvals.
  • Manage changes to scope and schedule through formal change control processes.
  • Plan and manage project resources effectively.
  • Produce concise project reporting and run programme boards to communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Establish and run effective governance in line with the change lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management within change programmes.
  • Experience working within Financial Services organizations.
  • Experience operating within regulated environments (FCA or similar).
  • Experience delivering change in post-merger or integration contexts is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholders and constructively challenge when necessary.
  • Experience with HR change programmes is beneficial but not essential.
