Overview
The Senior Project Manager for Data Governance & Cyber Programme will lead a strategic portfolio focused on treating organizational data as an asset, spanning the Data and Cyber functions within a large, complex organization. This role entails managing multiple interdependent workstreams to enhance data governance, protection, and management while ensuring alignment with business objectives. The contractor will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, emphasizing the implementation of robust data governance practices and the overall improvement of the organization's data assets.
Responsibilities
- Translate outputs of the Data Asset Discovery into an actionable delivery roadmap.
- Lead and coordinate multiple workstreams across Data, Cyber, Technology, Product, and the wider business.
- Establish practical governance processes for data ownership, lifecycle management, retention, and protection.
- Build an enduring data governance capability into daily operations.
- Strengthen governance around data access, role-based access controls, and the principle of least privilege.
- Coordinate the implementation of SharePoint governance capabilities.
- Support the identification of critical data sets for business continuity planning and recovery priorities.
- Maintain oversight of risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and delivery progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in data governance and cyber security related projects.
- Strong understanding of data management, classification, and governance processes.
- Ability to facilitate stakeholder engagement and manage complex relationships.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and workstreams effectively.
- Knowledge of SharePoint governance capabilities.
- Strong planning and decision-making skills in a multifaceted environment.
- Proficient in risk management and oversight of project deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to work in hybrid environments with some travel.
