RAN Deployment & Integration Engineer

Overview

The RAN Deployment & Integration Engineer will play a crucial role in the deployment and integration of the Ericsson Private 5G Indoor RAN / Radio Dots System within manufacturing facilities. Working closely with contractors and engineering teams, the engineer will ensure successful commissioning, integration, and validation of the network infrastructure. This long-term contract position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in Ericsson RAN systems and a keen focus on achieving operational excellence in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support hardware deployment and installation of Ericsson BBUs and IRUs.
  • Conduct commissioning and integration activities to ensure visibility in cloud NMP Portal.
  • Perform testing including throughput, latency, mobility, and handover tests.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and support fault isolation activities.
  • Assist in the stabilization of the network during the initial hypercare phase.
  • Verify existing Radio Dots and ensure proper grounding and connectivity validation.
  • Participate in KPI reviews and issue resolution processes during network stabilization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Ericsson RAN systems.
  • Proven experience in commissioning Ericsson BBUs and deploying IRUs and Radio Dots.
  • Strong understanding of LTE/5G RAN fundamentals and ATP testing processes.
  • Experience with manufacturing/private network deployments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GNSS synchronization and network integration is a plus.
  • Understanding of mobility and handover validation techniques.
