Overview
The Senior Researcher (Mixed Methods) will work on a public sector project aimed at addressing complex discovery challenges through a design-led approach. Collaborating with a boutique consultancy, the researcher will leverage both qualitative and quantitative methods to produce actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership teams. This role requires a skilled professional who is available to begin in November and has prior experience conducting research with various stakeholder groups.
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct mixed methods research utilizing qualitative and quantitative approaches.
- Develop and administer stakeholder or reputation tracking surveys, including questionnaire design and statistical analysis.
- Moderate interviews and focus groups with senior stakeholders and perform thematic analysis of transcripts.
- Compile and present findings in clear reports, highlighting actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
- Ensure compliance with MRS Code of Conduct and GDPR best practices throughout the research process.
- Travel for ad hoc meetings and in-person research activities as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Researcher with a mixed methods skillset in qualitative and quantitative research.
- Strong background in designing and executing stakeholder or reputation tracking surveys, including statistical analysis using tools like SPSS, Q, or Displayr.
- Experience in conducting interviews and focus groups, particularly with senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with conducting research for diverse groups such as local authorities and charities.
- Knowledge of the MRS Code of Conduct and best practices for GDPR.
- Ability to synthesize survey and interview results into comprehensive reports.
