Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP R2R / Treasury Architect to contribute to strategic SAP transformation initiatives requiring expertise in UK statutory accounting, tax, and treasury. This contractor will collaborate with offshore teams and work on ensuring compliance with UK-specific financial processes and banking integrations. The role involves leading functional design, maintaining reporting accuracy, and aligning local requirements with global templates.
Responsibilities
- Lead the functional design for UK R2R, statutory accounting, tax, and treasury processes.
- Design and govern financial integration flows including PTX, BACS, Direct Debit, and CAMT.053.
- Ensure UK-specific requirements are aligned with the global SAP template.
- Collaborate with offshore teams on configuration, testing, and reporting tasks.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Handle defect resolution, cutover activities, and support during hypercare.
- Ensure accuracy in statutory and management reporting documentation.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of experience in SAP R2R and Treasury functions.
- Strong knowledge of UK statutory accounting, tax regulations, and treasury practices.
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA Financials.
- Proficiency in banking integrations, including BACS, Direct Debit, and CAMT.053.
- Solid skills in solution design and documentation.
- Experience with global template rollouts in a finance context.
- Familiarity with UK GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau and HANA.
