Overview
We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer (Contractor) to join our team, focusing on projects within the CIS and Cyber domains. The successful candidate will collaborate with Technical Project Managers and the Solution Design Team to ensure that security considerations are integrated into all engineering decisions, while providing valuable insights into security architecture and compliance. This role is essential in delivering robust security solutions that meet industry standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Technical Project Managers and the Solution Design Team to create necessary security deliverables for projects.
- Provide security authority and guidance throughout the engineering process.
- Support the development and integration of PKI aspects within solutions.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive project-level security documentation.
- Deliver assurance for all project security outputs.
- Develop and implement a coherent, integrated, and layered security architecture.
- Identify risks and appropriate mitigations to align with the Accreditor's risk appetite.
- Liaise with customer security representatives and produce required artefacts for project compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Security Engineer within large, complex systems across all project lifecycle phases.
- Familiarity with security architectural frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST Framework, and Infosec Standards (IS1&2).
- Strong expertise in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) implementation within complex systems.
- Ability to produce and manage security designs through accreditation processes.
- Experience with Model Based System Engineering methodologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of secure configuration and integration activities.
- Strong understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies in security contexts.
- Familiarity with relevant security standards and frameworks beyond those listed above.
