Overview
The Senior Back End Developer will play a pivotal role in a financial services organization, focusing on building and maintaining cloud-based services using Java and AWS technologies. This hands-on position will involve technical decision-making and contributing to code reviews, while working closely with other technical team members to ensure the successful delivery of services.
Responsibilities
- Build REST and event-driven microservices in Java and Spring Boot.
- Deploy and support services on AWS including ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Own services from design through to production support.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Review code and contribute to architecture decisions.
Requirements
- Commercial experience with Java 21 and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience building and running applications on AWS.
- Strong knowledge of microservices and API design.
- Experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools.
