Overview
The Senior Design Engineer will play a crucial role in an innovative aerospace programme, focusing on the design and integration of aircraft systems. Working in a multidisciplinary environment, the engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure the successful verification of designs and the release of CAD models and drawings. This contract position is structured for an initial duration of three months, with the opportunity for hybrid working arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Design and approve CAD models and 2D drawings at a senior level.
- Verify interfaces, tolerances, and design assumptions prior to official release.
- Coordinate with stress, loads, manufacturing, systems, and engineering teams.
- Resolve design and interface issues through detailed design processes.
- Ensure CAD and drawing releases follow strict configuration control processes.
Requirements
- Significant experience in aerospace mechanical design.
- Proficient user of CATIA and 3DEXPERIENCE (3Dx).
- Experience in checking and approving detailed designs and engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of design interfaces and tolerances.
- Knowledge of composite design is advantageous.
