Senior Hardware Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Hardware Analogue Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative defence products. This role involves collaborating with a team to apply expertise throughout the entire development life cycle, focusing on customer requirements and delivering high-quality electronic designs. The successful candidate will leverage their technical and interpersonal skills to meet project goals in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements to define project specifications.
  • Create and modify electronic designs and architecture for hardware components.
  • Utilize simulation tools to generate verification test benches for design validation.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Implement configuration control processes for design documentation.
  • Support hardware integration efforts across multiple project phases.
  • Assist the manufacturing department during build and testing of hardware solutions.
  • Collaborate on module and system commissioning activities.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in analog circuit design, including amplifiers, filters, and oscillators.
  • Understanding of signal integrity and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles.
  • Familiarity with analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), and mixed-signal design.
  • Experience in designing power supply circuits and managing power distribution.
  • Proficient in using oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers for testing and debugging.
  • Good understanding of requirements capture, work package definition, and effort estimation.
  • Experience with development guidelines such as RTCA/DO-25 is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.
