Overview
The Senior Project Manager role focuses on leading a major payments transformation project for a global commerce marketplace. The contractor will oversee the transition from a legacy payments platform to a new, scalable solution by managing vendor selection, integration, and migration processes. This position is intended for an experienced project manager with a strong background in payments, working in collaboration with various stakeholders including technology and finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the RFP and vendor selection process for payment providers.
- Establish delivery models and governance structures with selected vendors.
- Lead the end-to-end integration of the payment provider into the existing technology setup.
- Create and manage delivery roadmaps from initial mobilization to production launch.
- Develop structured plans for migrating customers to the new payment platform.
- Maintain operational oversight of the legacy payments platform during the transition.
- Act as the primary liaison between technology and finance teams throughout the project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading payments integration or migration projects with major providers such as Stripe, Worldpay, or Adyen.
- Strong background in coordinating internal and vendor teams across complex technology landscapes.
- Experience in managing legacy-to-modern platform transformations and decommissioning processes.
- Knowledge of dependency management, planning, governance, and senior stakeholder communication.
