Overview
The Frontend Software Engineer will play a critical role in the redesign of a client portal for a well-established B2B software company. The contractor will work closely with a collaborative product team, utilizing Angular and TypeScript to build responsive web applications that meet user needs while participating in technical decision-making and code quality improvements.
Responsibilities
- Design and build responsive, accessible web applications using Angular and TypeScript.
- Own features end-to-end, from technical refinement to deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with product, UX/design, QA, platform, and backend teams to create well-crafted interfaces.
- Develop reusable components and contribute to frontend architecture best practices.
- Evaluate trade-offs in usability, security, performance, and delivery.
- Participate in code reviews, enhance test automation, and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building and supporting production web applications.
- Strong proficiency in modern Angular, including components, routing, forms, and state management.
- Excellent skills in HTML and CSS with a solid understanding of accessibility and responsive design.
- Experience with integrating REST APIs and handling security and asynchronous data.
- Testing mindset with experience creating unit and end-to-end tests.
- Ability to troubleshoot live issues and understand frontend security principles.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical decisions to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with design systems, testing frameworks (Jest, Jasmine, Cypress), and web performance optimization tools is a plus.
