Overview
We are looking for an experienced Solar Project Manager to oversee the delivery of commercial Solar PV projects from contract handover to completion in a fully remote contract role. The successful candidate will manage project planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring compliance and quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions across the UK.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of commercial Solar PV projects from contract handover through to completion.
- Oversee project planning, budgets, programmes, resources and overall project performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
- Coordinate technical reviews, site surveys, project documentation and DNO applications.
- Manage installation contractors and delivery partners to ensure projects remain on programme.
- Ensure all works meet health, safety, quality and compliance requirements.
- Oversee commissioning, client handover and project close-out.
- Monitor project risks, costs and performance, supporting commercial reporting where required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction, electrical or renewable energy projects.
- Demonstrable experience delivering commercial Solar PV projects.
- Strong project planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Good commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and costs.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations, health and safety and project compliance requirements.
- Experience managing contractors, suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant Project Management qualification or equivalent experience.
