Overview
The Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in a major data and cloud migration project for a large-scale marketplace platform. This position involves owning the target-state data architecture on AWS and managing the entire migration process to ensure minimal disruption to live operations. The architect will collaborate with a dedicated team to implement advanced functionalities within the platform while navigating complex challenges related to high transaction volumes.
Responsibilities
- Own the target-state data architecture for the data and cloud migration.
- Manage the end-to-end migration planning process, including dependency mapping and data cleansing.
- Implement cutover strategies to minimize downtime during the migration.
- Design and oversee data architecture solutions on AWS.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features.
- Facilitate in-person meetings and workshops as necessary to align on project milestones.
- Continuously monitor and optimize migration performance against the established goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data and cloud migration projects, particularly on AWS.
- Hands-on expertise in designing target-state data architecture.
- Comprehensive knowledge of migration planning, including cutover and rollback strategies.
- Familiarity with data cleansing and reconciliation techniques.
- Experience working in high-volume marketplace environments is preferable.
- Ability to manage complex systems with minimal downtime risks.
