Overview
This role involves serving as a Solutions Architect for a major data and cloud migration project focused on a large-scale marketplace platform. The successful candidate will oversee the design and implementation of a target-state data architecture on AWS, ensuring seamless migration while minimizing downtime. This position requires collaboration within a team and engagement with clients during key phases of the project.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end migration planning and execution for data architecture on AWS.
- Develop and implement strategies for data movement, cleansing, and reconciliation.
- Create dependency mapping and cutover sequencing to ensure a smooth transition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during project milestones and workshops.
- Maintain a strategic overview of the architecture while managing detailed migration tasks.
- Provide insights and innovative solutions tailored to high-volume environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data and cloud migration at scale.
- Hands-on experience with designing target-state data architecture on AWS.
- Strong understanding of data migration processes, including dependency mapping and data cleansing.
- Experience with low-downtime migration strategies and rollback planning.
- Ecommerce experience is a plus.
