Overview
We are seeking a Senior Android Developer with extensive experience in Kotlin to work on a pioneering mobile application in the health and wellness sector. This 100% remote position offers the opportunity to join a small, agile team tasked with porting an existing iOS app to Android, leveraging AI-assisted development. The successful candidate will work closely with a lead developer, guiding AI agents in code generation, ensuring quality, and overseeing various aspects of app architecture and functionality.
Responsibilities
- Port the existing native iOS app to Android using AI-assisted development techniques.
- Direct AI agents in code creation, review their output, and ensure high-quality results.
- Integrate camera-based movement assessment features, collaborating with the computer vision team.
- Manage subscriptions, analytics, and attribution frameworks on Android.
- Implement AI-powered features in collaboration with the backend team.
- Oversee tooling, SDK setup, Play Store configuration, and compliance with privacy requirements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of Android development experience with Kotlin, including architectural ownership of production apps.
- Strong architectural judgment with a deep understanding of the differences between Android and iOS app structures.
- Experience directing and reviewing code produced by AI coding agents.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, focusing on outcomes rather than predefined tickets.
- Interest in AI-powered product features, with relevant examples from previous work.
