Overview
The AI Enablement Lead will play a critical role in transforming product and engineering teams within a technology business by embedding generative AI into their software development processes. This position involves direct collaboration with engineering and product teams to transition from AI experimentation to its practical application in daily workflows. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with AI tools and methodologies, facilitating measurable enhancements in engineering productivity and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software engineering and product teams to integrate AI into development processes.
- Implement AI-assisted software development practices, including automated testing and review.
- Develop repeatable practices that can be scaled across teams.
- Identify new opportunities for AI applications within the software lifecycle.
- Measure and report on productivity and efficiency improvements.
- Provide hands-on support while working directly with engineers and product leaders to communicate AI potential.
Requirements
- Significant, recent experience in applied generative AI within commercial software development.
- Familiarity with AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
- Experience in AI-assisted software engineering and automated testing.
- Ability to transition teams from experimentation to repeatable AI adoption.
- Strong technical credibility complemented by effective communication skills.
- Background in software or product engineering is preferred, with a leadership perspective on technology.
