Overview
The Application Support Engineer will play a crucial role in a global Commodities Trading business, contributing to a dynamic and experienced Application Support team that serves the EU, APAC, and US regions. This position involves a variety of tasks including business as usual (BAU) support, project work, upgrades, and troubleshooting across multiple ETRM platforms, particularly during a significant migration to a new system. Responsibilities
- Provide general BAU application support for ETRM systems.
- Lead system upgrades and new system implementation efforts.
- Manage project work related to ETRM integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application incidents effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams and offshore resources to support users across different regions.
- Understand and support trading and commodity processes to enhance system functionality.
- Work across multiple ETRMs, ensuring a smooth transition during migrations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in application support roles, preferably within financial services or commodities.
- Familiarity with ETRM systems, with preferred experience in Endur.
- Strong SQL skills for data handling and querying.
- Solid understanding of the functional aspects of ETRMs and trading processes.
- Experience in both BAU and project environments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting application issues.
- Ability to work with multiple applications and system integrations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a readiness to collaborate across offices and teams.
