Overview
We are seeking an experienced Azure AI Consultant to support a professional services organization in developing their first AI-first application. This role will involve establishing Azure AI capabilities from the ground up, delivering the initial application, and transferring knowledge to the existing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry and possess strong technical and mentoring skills.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of an AI-first application using Azure AI Foundry.
- Establish Azure AI capabilities and environments from scratch.
- Configure and deploy large language models (LLMs) within Azure.
- Implement AI agent solutions and ensure best practices in Azure AI architecture.
- Connect proprietary business data to LLMs, focusing on grounding and model fine-tuning.
- Provide training and mentoring to the permanent engineering team.
- Act as a trusted advisor while operating as a hands-on technical subject matter expert.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with Azure AI and Microsoft Azure AI Foundry.
- Experience setting up Azure AI Foundry capabilities in an enterprise environment.
- Strong background in configuring and deploying LLMs/models in Azure.
- Familiarity with AI agent systems and agentic AI solutions.
- Comprehensive understanding of Azure AI architecture, security, and governance.
- Experience in connecting internal data to LLMs for customizations and fine-tuning.
- Proven ability to train and mentor engineering teams in a technical capacity.
- Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on knowledge transfer and mentoring.
