Overview
We are seeking a hands-on AI Tech Lead to guide a team in developing an enterprise-grade Generative and Agentic AI platform for a major global insurer. This role involves setting the technical direction, coding alongside engineers, and ensuring the delivery of secure and reliable AI features. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a hybrid model, balancing between on-site and remote work, to drive innovative AI solutions at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of AI developers in building core services and features on an enterprise Agentic AI platform.
- Shape API standards, reusable patterns, and documentation for platform adoption.
- Partner with platform leads and architects to operationalize AI services reliably.
- Build and optimize Python AI components, including prompt orchestration and evaluation tooling.
- Integrate LLMs with enterprise systems, ensuring observability and security frameworks are in place.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, primarily using Azure DevOps.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance across distributed systems and cloud services.
- Automate processes to reduce toil and accelerate delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading AI or engineering teams while remaining hands-on.
- Strong production-level experience in Python (FastAPI) and Java.
- Practical experience integrating LLMs into enterprise systems.
- Understanding of authentication, secret management, and network boundaries with respect to model access governance.
- Experience with CI/CD processes, ideally in Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, EKS, S3, SQS, and Bedrock.
- Ability to work under strict enterprise security controls.
- Experience with Generative and Agentic AI patterns, particularly LLM integration and prompt-driven workflows.
