Overview
The Business Analyst will join a GIS and Data team focused on providing digital and data solutions within a public sector context. This remote role involves supporting the delivery of GIS and digital projects as part of a significant digital transformation programme, collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure project outcomes align with user needs and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Support the Project Delivery Lead in overseeing and coordinating GIS and data projects.
- Coordinate project activities with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
- Maintain effective project planning, prioritization, and delivery processes.
- Gather, document, and analyze business and customer requirements for GIS and digital solutions.
- Ensure that delivered solutions align with strategic objectives and meet user specifications.
- Contribute to programme-level planning, reporting, and communications.
- Support Agile project methodologies and the effective use of Azure DevOps.
- Encourage continuous improvement across project delivery processes.
Requirements
- Experience with recognized project management methodologies, such as Agile, PRINCE2, or APM PMQ.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering IT, digital, or technology projects.
- Strong skills in business analysis and requirements gathering.
- Excellent organizational abilities with effective time management skills.
- Confident communicator capable of simplifying complex information for various audiences.
- Experience working collaboratively with technical teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery environments and practices.
