Overview
We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic team on a contract basis to support a critical migration project. The successful candidate will design, build, and migrate enterprise applications to Microsoft Azure while working closely with a Lead Technical Architect. This remote role offers flexibility along with occasional meetings, making it an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact cloud transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support discovery, technical assessment, and detailed migration planning for a seamless transition to Azure.
- Design, build, and configure Azure infrastructure components aligning with best practices and security standards.
- Implement identity and access management solutions to safeguard cloud resources.
- Develop and deploy infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or Bicep to automate processes.
- Configure and optimize Azure networking for secure and reliable connectivity.
- Coordinate migration activities and troubleshoot infrastructure issues to maintain service availability.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation for ongoing support and maintenance.
- Collaborate with architects, Microsoft teams, and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure with expertise in Microsoft Azure.
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator.
- Practical experience in cloud migration projects in complex enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep.
- Experience with DevOps practices and familiarity with security protocols in Azure.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
