Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst to support a client's digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that data requirements are accurately translated into actionable insights. This hybrid role offers flexibility, requiring occasional on-site presence, while focusing on the implementation of Dynamics 365 F&O and integration with a new cloud data platform.
Responsibilities
- Work with business SMEs to understand data and reporting requirements.
- Map requirements back to Dynamics 365 F&O source data.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements for BI and data teams.
- Run workshops and challenge requirements to ensure clarity and feasibility.
- Identify gaps in data availability, quality, and ownership.
- Support Power BI reporting requirements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical data teams.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Business Data Analyst, particularly in data modelling and reporting.
- Solid understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O and its data structure.
- Familiarity with Power BI and reporting tools.
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks or Azure Synapse Link is a plus.
- Ability to critically assess and clarify business requirements.
